Finnair’s futuristic concept wins PR ‘Oscar’
Finnair's Departure 2093: Five Visions of Future Flying has received a Golden World Award from the International Public Relations Association (IPRA). The IPRA jury selected Departure 2093 as the best public relations campaign in the Publications category.
"The prize is comparable to an Oscar in PR. It's a splendid indication of how there is demand around the world for an innovative grasp and good stories," says Christer Haglund, Finnair's SVP Corporate Communications.
The Finnish Association of Professional Communicators (ProCom) recently gave an award to Finnair for its input into the concepting of the futuristic Departure 2093 and the visibility it attains.
Finnair published the futuristic concept instead of a traditional historical one to mark its 85th anniversary, and it was implemented in association with the Miltton PR agency.
IPRA is a worldwide network of PR professionals that was established in 1955.
