Finland’s competitiveness scores world’s top ten

Lehtikuva/Marja Airio

According to a listing commissioned by the World Economic Forum WEF Finland’s competitiveness is seventh strongest in the world.

The best ranking was achieved by Switzerland in the comparison, which surveyed nearly 140 countries. Other top countries were Sweden, Singapore, the United States, Germany and Japan.

The WEF meter portrays countries’ growth potential, but it does not forecast future development trends. Competitiveness is assessed by the productivity of the country. The rankings are calculated from publicly available data, a comprehensive annual opinion poll and surveys commissioned by the WEF.

Finland’s best ever ranking in the WEF comparison was number one, but this year Finland fell one place from last year.
