Deere & Co continues investing in Joensuu

deere.fi John Deere forestry machinery are in growing demand and the company continues investing on its operation in Finland.
Deere & Company has accepted the new investment plan for John Deere Forestry Oy’s Joensuu factory. The next phase in the plan includes the building of a new office building, visitor centre and a canteen.

In the past few years Deere & Co. has made significant investments on the products and production of the John Deere Forestry Oy factory in Joensuu. The capacity of the company’s Joensuu factory has increased notably.

Thanks to growing demand and the new E-series John Deere Forestry’s order portfolio has continued picking up since the beginning of 2010 and the lay-offs planned earlier on have been cancelled.
 
John Deere Forestry’s Joensuu factory employs approximately 400 people. The company’s European head office, which is located in Tampere, employs approximately 250 people in administration, marketing, sales and product development.
