Cargotec signed 15 million euro deals to Korea

Cargotec Cargotec is a well-established supplier of RoRo equipment. The company has delivered them for over 250 vessels already.
Cargotec has received two MacGregor cargo access equipment orders for four deepsea RoRo vessels and two pure car truck carriers (PCTCs). The orders, which will be built in Korea, have a total value of approximately 15 million euros.

The RoRo vessels will be built at the Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) shipyard for an Italian shipping company. Cargotec’s order comprises a jumbo quarter ramp, a stern door, two ramp covers and several internal bulkhead doors. The jumbo quarter ramp is the biggest ever ordered from Cargotec.

Cargotec’s other order was received from Hyundai Mipo Dockyard (HMD), and comprises a quarter ramp, a side ramp, hoistable car decks including internal access ramps and several bulkhead doors. The order is delivered for two 3,500 unit car carriers owned by an Israeli shipping company.

The orders will be delivered in 2011.
