Business speeds up for Ekovilla
ekovillaEkovilla, a Finnish company manufacturing thermal insulation from recycled newspaper, will launch a new range of soft insulation boards made of wood fibre next year. Ekovilla’s blown wood fibre insulation has been detected to be the most popular thermal insulation material used for the roof ceiling joists of detached houses.
The manufacture of the brand new Ekovilla thermal insulation board will employ a minimum of 25 new employees depending on the product demand. In addition to this the product will provide indirect employment for up to 50 professionals. The CEO of Ekovilla, Reijo Louko belives that due to the energy saving regulations thermal insulations will have an even higher demand in the future.
- Although the building of prefabricated buildings decreased by 29 per cent lest last year, the use of thermal insulation rose by 11 per cent.
A recently granted European Technical Approval has boosted the business of Ekovilla. Thanks to the CE-mark Ekovilla-insulations can now be sold and used in the whole European Union region without a separate license. The CE-mark for blown wood fibre insulation, which is unique both in Finland and other western countries, was reived jointly with Termex-Eriste Oy.
This concludes the big picture which we have been working on for several years. ETA approval opens the doors for us to all the European Union countries, comments Louko after the long licensing process.
