Blancco expands in Japan

Blancco, a specialist in secure data erasure and end-of-lifecycle solutions, has opened a new subsidiary in Japan. Blancco is planning to expand its business also to Italy and Spain.

– Blancco Japan will be the company's largest international office with six full-time employees. Strengthening our presence in the Japanese market is a strategically important step for us, tells CEO of Blancco, Kim Väisänen.

According to the company its growth in the Japanese market has been strong for several years already. Last year growth was up to 50 per cent. The globally tight economic situation has strengthened Blancco’s position in the markets, which was evident from 30 percent growth in the company’s turnover last year. According to Väisänen growth for this year looks promising in all market areas.

Established in 1997, Blancco employs approximately 70 people, out of which over 40 percent in Finland. In addition to its Joensuu headquarters, Blancco has offices also in Sweden, Germany, France, United Kingdom, USA, Canada and Australia.

Blancco is one of the world’s market leaders in professional data erasure and end-of-lifecycle solutions. The company serves users across a wide range of industries, including banking, finance, government, defence and IT Asset Disposal professionals; and erases data from different kinds of data storage medias such as PCs, servers, memory cards and mobile phones.
