Biofuels Digest Project of the Year award for Neste Oil in Singapore

NESTE OIL Neste Oil’s Singapore plant was inaugurated last November.
Web-based Biofuels Digest has picked Neste Oil Singapore’s NExBTL project as its Project of the Year for 2010. The world’s largest renewable diesel production  plant came on stream In Singapore during November 2010, virtually on time and on budget.  The plant’s capacity is 800,000 tonnes per year and investment costs were around 550 million euros.

– There are only two companies in the world who have succeeded in bringing significant quantities of renewable diesel to the market: Dynamic Fuels and Neste Oil.  The award for the 2010 project went to Neste Oil which started up its 240 million gallon renewable diesel plant in Singapore, notes Biofuels Digest in its press release.

Biofuels Digest every year gives awards to companies who have succeeded in the fields of biofuel and renewable chemical R & D and commercialization.  The jury, comprising journalists from the publication, made their selection based on suggestions sent in by readers.
