Bella Boats on Sunny Seas
Bella Boats, a boat manufacturer based in the heart of the eastern Finnish lake region, in Kuopio, has recently received over hundred new orders. The company was happy to re-employ the staff it had laid off from work due to the financial crisis.
- There is a ray of hope. The situation seems to unravel itself. For instance there seems to be a good thing going on in Norway. Finland and Sweden are struggling more, comments the managing director of Bella Boats, Raimo Sonninen.
Bella intends to launch two new boat models in May and one more in the autumn. Sonninen believes that the new models will boost the company and give it even more orders.
Boat sales have been sped up by price campaigns. According to Sonninen some models are sold with prices from year 2007. Boat prices rose by 3-4 per cent in year 2007, and 2 per cent in 2008.
Last year Bella Boats produced two Aquador luxury yachts for the Russian President Dmitri Medvedev. One of the Aquadors is now sailing on the Moscow river and the other near St. Petersburg. The Russian prime-minister Vladimir Putin already has an Aquador yacht from Bella Boats.
