Basware believes in e-invoicing breakthrough
Basware, the leading provider of purchase to pay solutions, expects electronic invoicing to develop extensively this year. A research carried out by the company in May and June revealed that electronic invoicing is on the brink of a breakthrough. The number of organisations sending and receiving e-invoices has increased significantly between 2007-2009.In 2008 the number of new senders of e-invoices exceeded for the first time the receiver numbers. From January to June 2009 the new senders and receivers of electronic invoices in the market made up over 70 per cent of the total of last year
The latest contract has assigned Basware to deliver SITA Northern Europe Waste Services-company a major e-invoicing service. The approximate turnout of the contract is 500 000 Euros and it will be installed within a period of three years. The solution will be delivered to SITA NEWS offices in the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxemburg and Germany by the end of 2010.
The solution enables the supplier and the recipient to proceed to the purchase to pay process online.
- We launched Basware Connectivity services as a complete solution this year. The solution allows companies to handle purchase to pay processes online. The companies will also achieve fast return on investment, "says CEO Ilkka Sihvo in the company's stock exchange release.
Sihvo has previously emphasised the significance of Russia as the company's strategic growth platform. Basware's most significant client in Russia is the Swedish furniture retail group Ikea Russia.
