Eagerly awaited action game Alan Wake has been released. The launch, which took place in Helsinki at midnight May 13th attracted a large crowd of game enthusiasts. Present were also Alan Wake’s head writer Sami Järvi and the main character of the game, Alan Wake alias Ilkka Villi.

– I believe that Alan Wake will be one of the most notable releases in the entire history of Finnish entertainment industry, said Country Lead Finland, Microsoft Entertainment & Devices Division, Jari Keskitalo in Uusi Suomi – magazine.

The CEO of Remedy Games, Matias Myllyrinne has set a high sales target for the game, hoping that it will cross the one million copy threshold and become a hit game. The game will be released in over one hundred countries, which means that most of the game’s proceeds will be generated overseas. The company’s previous hit game Max Payne sold a total of seven million copies around the world, which means that on Finnish scale it was a remarkable export item.

The psychological action thriller has been received well by critics. Alan Wake’s score on the GameRankings website has climbed to 84.8 percent. GameRankings aggregates all the different review scores to give its users an overall picture of a game's average score.

Dear Alan Wake editors.
My question would be great, that the longer we look forward to Alan Wake Xbox 360 game to continue, as many would be my question, that is expected to continue?
