A record number of Finnish companies listed as Europe’s Best Workplaces

A record number of nine Finnish workplaces have reached the Europe’s Best Workplaces 2010 list published by the Great Place to Work Institute. The list consists of 100 Europe’s best workplaces, selected out of the 1300 companies participating in the research.

The best Finnish ranking was achieved by the Finland’s Best Workplaces 2010 general category number one, Helsinki-based IT company Reaktor, which ranked third on the category of small and medium businesses on the European list. Reaktor has succeeded well in the Europe’s Best Workplaces research for several years already. Last year the company was the second in its category, and in 2008 the winner.

Other Finnish workplaces selected on the SMBs category of the European list were Management Events (17. place), Pipelife Finland Oy (25.), Mars (33.), Fondia Oy (36.) and Novia Finland (44.). In the category of large multinational companies the winner was Microsoft by 14 country representatives, including Finland. Other Finnish scorers on the list were Accenture (8.) and Novo Nordisk Farma Oy (25.). The victory in the SMBs category went to the Dutch business management consultancy &samhoud.

Great Place to Work Institute carries out the Best Workplaces of the Year research in about 40 countries. The Finnish responsible for the research is the Great Place to Work Institute Finland, which has been researching Finnish workplaces since 2002.
