Engineering and technology corporation Metso will rebuild a coater at Hansol Paper’s Changhang mill in South Korea. The coater is part of the coated woodfree paper production line. The value of the order will not be disclosed.
The main target of the rebuild is to convert the production line to enable it to also produce thermal paper grades. Metso’s delivery will include, among other things, a new curtain coating unit which applies the thermal coating economically in a non-contact operation. The rebuilt production line will be started up during 2013.
