Every year the esteemed American media company Red Herring publishes a list of 100 most promising European technology companies. This year’s finalists include 14 Finnish ICT companies. The final Red Herring 100 Europe list will be published on May 27th in Paris.

The Finnish finalists are Cellictica, Digium, Eniram, Flowdock, GogsWiz.com, HammerKit, Heptagon, Ideakone, LumoFlow, Motive Systems, Pancomp International, Red Solution Finland, Sibosonke and Snoobi. The jury evaluates the finalists for instance according to their economic figures, innovations, management and strategy implementation.

– Despite the difficult international economic situation there were a number of companies among the competitors who work towards developing truly innovative products. This made the selection of the finalists extremely difficult, commented Alex Vieux, CEO of Red Herring.

Some of the previous Red Herring listed companies are for instance the hugely successful Google, Skype, Yahoo! and YouTube.

Red Herring Global 100 list was published earlier this year. The only Finnish company to rank on the list was the nanomaterial specialist Canatu.
