MultiTouch Ltd. first to bring Windows 7 to multitouch screens

Thanks to Finnish R&D all multitouch applications of Windows 7 operating system can now be used also on large LCD screens. The multitouch applications of the Helsinki-based MultiTouch Oy can now for the first time be used simultaneously with many fingers and by multiple users.

According to MultiTouch Ltd. the LCD multitouch support opens up new possibilities for Windows applications developed all over the world. The MultiTouch Cells can be stacked and combined very imaginatively and used both horizontally and vertically.

The multitouch application of MultiTouch screens is based on optical, computer vision. It supports all Windows 7 multitouch features. The screens already support other operating systems such as Linux and Mac OS.

MultiTouch Ltd manufactures table and wall-sized multitouch screens that can be used by multiple users simultaneously. MultiTouch has shipped screens to more than 20 countries around the world, where they are used for a wide range of applications such as in retail, advertising, trade shows, museums, education and design.
