Metso has received two significant orders to China and Russia. The company received a 10 million euro chemi-mechanical pulping line order from Chenzhou Yunong Paper Co. Ltd in China, and another order for a lime calcining system for OJSC Novolopetsk Steel in Russia.
Metso will supply a new bleached chemi-mechanical pulping (CTMPc) line to Chenzhou Yunong Paper Co. Ltd in Hunan province, China. The line will have a capacity of 500 tonnes a day and is to be commissioned in the second quarter of 2011. The delivery from Metso involves a conical disc high consistency refiner, low consistency refiners, screens in the screen room, as well as technical assistance during the line’s erection, start-up and commissioning.
Chenzhou Yunong Paper Co. Ltd is part of the Yunfu Starch Processing Group. The focus of Chenzhou Yunong Paper, founded in 2008, is on the production of mechanical market pulp.
The order to Russia will be delivered to NLMK’s existing facilities in Lipetsk, approximately 450 kilometers south of Moscow. The equipment delivery will be completed during the fourth quarter of 2011 and the refractory materials during the first quarter of 2012. The order includes a calcining system and the engineering of a control system. The system is expected to produce 800 tons of refractory lime per day. Through the expansion NLMK’s lime production will increase to 250,000 tonnes per year. The value of the order will not be disclosed.
Russian based OJSC Novolipetsk Steel is a global steel producer. The company, which is specialized in mining, steelmaking and rolling, has main production facilities in Lipetsk.
