Invest in Finland opens in Shanghai

Lehtikuva/Heikki SaukkomaaCEO of Invest In Finland Tuomo Airaksinen trusts that the Shanghai office will enhance both Chinese investments in Finland and the cooperation of Finnish companies on the Chinese market.Invest in Finland has opened an office in Shanghai, China. The aim is to activate cooperation between Chinese and Finnish companies and increase Chinese investments in Finland.
- Invest in Finland has several target countries but China is currently a particularly promising market thanks to its investment objectives and economic growth. We believe that in the next few years Chinese companies will also be investing in Finland, says Tuomo Airaksinen, CEO of Invest in Finland.
Until now Chinese direct investments in Finland have taken place mainly within the ICT sector. According to Airaksinen also the environmental technology and the health and wellbeing sectors have expressed interest in Finland.
In addition to cooperating with Chinese companies, Invest in Finland aims also to stimulate cooperation between Finnish companies in China.
- Cooperation with Chinese companies offers capital, know-how and international networks to our leading clusters. Together with other Finnish business actors we will gain visibility for Finland in China's challenging market, says Airaksinen.
Invest in Finland's new office is located in the premises of the Finland-China Innovation Center (FinChi).
