Tuesday, 23 February, 2010
Forest industry will donate four million euros to the starting endowment of the Aalto University in order to strengthen the innovation environment of the forest-based sector in Finland.
– Forest industry companies are looking for international top universities as partners in creating new products and services. The Aalto University is one of them. It is crucial that sufficient financial resources are made available for it to rise into the global elite with regards to its research and teaching activities, while supporting the renewal of the forest industry, says Timo Jaatinen, Director General of the Finnish Forest Industries Federation.
