Finnish creative industries present themselves in St. Petersburg this autumn

st-petersburg.ru / Alexander PetrosjanThanks to the super-fast train connection to be opened later in the year St. Petersburg and Helsinki will only be three hours apart.Companies operating within the Finnish creative industry will present themselves on a creative event week, which will be held in St. Petersburg on 18-22th October. The week will feature an exhibition at St. Petersburg’s old bread factory Loft Etazh, and event and discussion days at the Sokos Hotel Palace Bridge.
Loft Etazh is the number one location for St. Petersburg’s cultural life today. During the event week the space will host a range of presentations and performances, as well as showcasing Finnish companies within the creative industry as widely and diversely as possible. The presentations include for instance design, handcrafts, art, fashion, music, audio visual production, literature, dance and magicians and so on.
The week will culminate in a two-day Finland Station -event and business negotiations at Sokos Hotel Palace Bridge, entrance to which is only by personal invitations. The event will be thematized around the ‘train station’ -concept to solemnize also the new super-fast connection between Helsinki and St. Petersburg.
