Cimcorp acquires the Canadian RMT Robotics Ltd.

According to Cimcorp the goal of the company acquisition is to increase the company’s competitive scope of supply on the North American and European automation markets, beside the Asian market.
The Canadian company located in the greater Toronto area will continue its services under the current name, management and staff as a subsidiary of Cimcorp Oy.
Through the acquisition the major shareholder and President of RMT Robotics will become an owner of Cimcorp with 20 per cent share through special issue shares. The remaining capital stock will remain in the possession of the company’s Finnish owners.
RMT will become Cimcorp’s subsidiary, which will continue under the company’s current management and as part of the Cimcorp Group. The annual turnover of the newly established company will be over 50 million euro. The company employs over 200 professionals.
Both companies’ business operations focus on tire industry and distribution automation, and both are specialized in gantry robotic technology and related controls. The majority of the turnover of Toronto-based RMT is generated in North America, while Cimcorp focuses on other markets.
Cimcorp was established in 1975 as an automation department of Rosenlew tool factory, where it specialized in robotics. The company has operated as Cimcorp Oy since 2004.
