Additional flights to Hong Kong strengthen Finnair’s position in Asia

FinnairIn a year’s time Finnair will operate weekly 12 direct flights between Helsinki and Hong Kong.
Finnair will increase its direct flights to Hong Kong. Instead of the previous seven flights, Finnair will fly to Hong Kong with a frequency of 12 flights per week from June next year.

- Finnair's position in traffic between Asia and Europe is strengthening continuously. Our Asian strategy is working excellently, and demand has grown strongly, says Finnair's SVP Communications Christer Haglund.                                                

Since the shortest routes between Asia and Europe pass through Helsinki, Finland's geographical location enables Finnair to offer its customers fast and smooth connections. Finnair’s route network offers also excellent links from Hong Kong to elsewhere in Asia. In addition to the increased flight to Hong Kong, in May 2011 Finnair will also open a new connection to Singapore.

Finnair operates scheduled flights to eleven long-haul destinations. At the moment the air company’s long-haul fleet consist of consist of twelve wide-bodied aircraft.
