Through its Invesdor crowdfunding round, the distillery has found new shareholders from countries like Canada, England, Mexico, Germany, Russia and Denmark.

During the 52-day public crowdfunding round, Ägräs Distillery surpassed its maximum target of 350 000 euros. Because of the high demand during the round’s last two weeks, the company was able to oversubscribe and emit shares worth of 380 000 euros.

With the new international investors, Ägräs Distillery believes that the new shareholders want to see its products in these markets as soon as possible. There are ongoing negotiations with different international distributors.

“It makes us happy that there are people thinking like us,” says CEO Susanna Kankare. “That there are people who trust in our vision as much as we do. With the funds from the crowdfunding round, we’re able to make our production more efficient and hire new staff. The emphasis on international sales is also going to be significant.”
